A1GP Taupo (2007 - 2009)

Event Communications Limited (ECL) was contracted to install infrastructure for transmission/reception of television content & provide technical support at the inaugural NZ round in 2007.

At the 2008 & 2009 events we were awarded the "Comms Management" contract to co-ordinate local communications requirements. We liaised with sub-contractors, NZ & International A1GP Management, International Broadcast (AlfaCam), Timing personnel (Al Kamel), International Media,
NZ Police/Emergency Services & catered to individual team requirements, this included:

• Television Transmission & Distribution to entire site - ECL
• Television Installation (including stands) + De-rig - ECL
• IT Systems & capacity onto site (for National & International Media,
  A1GP Management, A1GP Teams, etc) - Kordia / ECL
• Phone/Security Systems - WC Security
• PA Audio Sound Reinforcement - College Hill Productions
• LED Big Screens - MonstaVision
• RT Communications - Radio Waves
• Local Vision Mixing (advertising, competitions, SMS txt 2 screen, etc) - ECL
• Upgrade/installation of track timing loops - ECL
• Storage & staging area for comms sub contractors - ECL
